Who We Are

Desert Moon Designs Studios & Gallery is a progressive contemporary gallery that includes working studios. The focus of the gallery is to showcase both emerging/established local and visiting regional artists. Several times a year special exhibitions are scheduled to introduce new talent or to bring focus to a certain art medium.

It has been our commitment to community and social entrepreneurship that we have supported non-profits for over 25 years. It is our goal to make a difference by connecting art and community in new ways while providing 5% to non-profit giving thru the sales of the gallery. We actively have modeled this 5% component in our business plan for many years and since then many other artists, studios and galleries have followed our initial project model. This gives us a reason to celebrate both handmade and bring together artists who have the same philosophy within the walls of the studio/gallery.

Mission Statement

The Gallery will provide a handmade soulful art experience for clients-customers while providing sustainable income for the artists. We will build partnerships in Asheville, Western North Carolina and nationally to preserve handmade in America. Our success will be measured by creating a diverse local, regional and national level of support for the “Arts” and artists. With an emphasis to showcase the talent and skill levels of all artists, the space will honor and encourage diversity of thought, ethnicity and provide a venue for non-profits and/or charitable organizations to be supported through the business plan of the gallery.
